Røste Hyttetun og Camping (Røste Cabins & Camping)

Cabin & apartment | Røste Hyttetun og Camping was designed to be a peaceful family site in lovely surroundings. Only 11 km from Røros, Røste is a great starting point for excursions in the region. Groomed and maintained summer and winter trails lead directly from the site into the surrounding scenic countryside.

Cabins are available in various sizes, from a basic cabin that sleeps two to the standard two-bedroom/one WC cabins that sleep four/five, to deluxe two-bedroom cabins that sleep up to six people, with two bedrooms, sleeping alcoves in the living room and a shower/WC.
Cabin 11 is accessible to wheelchair users.

Røste Cabins & Camping also offers spaces for RV/caravans, cars and tents, with electrical outlets. Our communal lounge seats approximately 20 and our covered shelters and barbecue pits are available to guests at no extra charge.

FISHING: The river Glomma is 200 metres from the site and is a great place to fish for trout and grayling and there are several other terrific spots to fish in the area. Fishing licences can be purchased on site.

OUTDOOR RECREATION: The site is surrounded by beautiful countryside for walks and hiking. Hummelfjell Mountain (1,540 metres above sea level) is within view of the site and can be climbed at any time of the year. There are several less challenging walks in the immediate area, and the site is a great base for experiences and adventures in the Røros region.

ACTIVITIES: Here in Os, horse/pony trekking from Os Turridning and dog sledding at Alaskan Husky Tours are to be recommended. The site is 4 km away from the Hummelfjell Alpine Ski Centre and the TOS Arena (the new biathlon facility, where roller ski trails will be surfaced in the summer of 2010). Røros is only 10 minutes away by car!

Røste Hyttetun og Camping is located in Os off the R30 road, 2 km north of central Os and 10 km south of Røros.
